Day 01.- San José
Upon arrival to Juan Santamaría International airport, our driver will meet and transfer you to San José. Overnight at Boutique Jade Hotel.

Day 02.-San José/ Turrialba
Breakfast in the hotel. Pick a Daihatsu Bego 4x4 up at your hotel to continue to Turrialba. Turrialba is a small farming town of about 60,000 people lies in an area 65 k (45 miles) east of San Jose. The valleys and mountains in this part of Costa Rica are known for their rich, fertile soil and majestic mountain scenery.
Overnight at Casa Turire Hotel. Casa Turire is a heaven of gracious charm set in the verdant, agricultural region of Turrialba, and it is an ideal base camp for exploring Costa Rica. It has twelve rooms and four suites. These spacious rooms with strong, beautiful wood floors, high ceilings, and private balconies offer spectacular views of the surrounding hills. Each room welcomes you with direct dial telephones, satellite TV, hair dryers, and toilettes in the bathrooms.

Day 03.-Turrialba/ Pacuare River Rafting
Breakfast. Tour to Pacuare River Rafting: The Pacuare River is ranked as one of the top five rivers in the world to white water raft. What earns the Pacuare River this acclaim is its eighteen miles of class III and class IV rapids and some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of Costa Rica. You will enjoy the thrill of the rapids, as well as the natural beauty that surrounds the river such as cascading waterfalls and a variety of tropical flora and fauna. We provide experienced, specialized rafting guides, top of the line equipment, and a day full of safe and exciting adventures on the Rio Pacuare.
We begin the tour near the town of Tres Equis; one hour East of Turrialba. Before entering the river, our guides give an important safety talk, familiarizing rafters with the necessary commands and safety instructions that you will need on the river. After practicing all of the commands and drills you will start rafting the river. As well as enjoying the thrill of the rapids, we also stop along to way to hike up waterfalls located in hidden canyons and to better enjoy some of the wildlife that we see along the way.
Halfway through the tour we stop at our camp which is located on a hillside in a bend of the river so you have a tremendous view of the Pacuare and the surrounding mountains.
The guides prepare a delicious meal for you while you rest and enjoy the scenic views and the various flora and fauna of this region. After lunch, you continue your adventure down the river, braving more rapids and taking in the awesome surroundings. The tour stops when you reach a bridge in the town of Siquirres. This tour takes approximately 4 hours (on the river), with a break to have lunch in the middle of the trip. Overnight at Casa Turire Hotel.

Day 04.-Turrialba/ Marino Ballena National Park
Breakfast. Departure to Marino Ballena National Park, located in the Southern Pacific, this National Park was created to protect the humpback whales that frequent from the northern and southern hemispheres. Overnight at La Cusinga Lodge. This is a coastal rain forest ecolodge dedicated to marine and terrestrial conservation and environmental education. Its location provides guests with sweeping ocean views and a relaxing beach vacation. In addition, La Cusinga is part of a private nature reserve that supplies the visitor with an unparalleled look at Costa Rican wildlife and rain forest.

Day 05.-Marino Ballena National Park
Breakfast. We will launch the kayaks at Playa Arco. Along the way we may stop to watch birds, monkeys, sloth’s, etc. Aside from exuberant flora and fauna you will also see breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. At the put-in, our bilingual guides will tell you all about the park's history and teach you important safety techniques. We do our best to make sure that you get what you expect from the tour and will provide you the safest equipment available.
An easy 45 minutes paddle brings us to Ballena Island where a lunch of fruit and cold drinks in tropical style will be provided. We will then snorkel around the island, observing the richest marine fauna in the area. Or, if you prefer, you may choose to simply relax on the island and explore the numerous caves. After an adventurous day we’ll paddle back to Playa Arco and return to the hotel. Overnight at La Cusinga Lodge.

Day 06.-Marino Ballena National Park/ Piedras Blancas National Park
Snorkeling and kayaking tour: Continue to Piedras Blancas National Park, this park originally conceived as part of Corcovado National Park. Overnight at Esquinas Rain Forest Lodge. Esquinas Rainforest Lodge is surrounded by thousands of acres of untouched wilderness. It is a retreat for nature lovers wishing to experience the sounds and sights of a tropical rain forest in a tranquil, undisturbed atmosphere. All rooms have a private bathroom with hot water shower, ceiling fan and full screening. Each room is decorated with colorful materials woven by the Guaymi and Boruca Indians. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 07.-Piedras Blancas National Park
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy a large variety of tours that lead you through a jungle with a biodiversity equal to Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park. Overnight at Esquinas Rainforest Lodge. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 08.-Piedras Blancas National Park/ San José
Breakfast. Departure to San José. Drop the car off at you hotel. Overnight at Boutique Jade Hotel.

Day 09.-San Jose/ Flight back home
Breakfast. Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport for your flight back home.
